How Did You Lose Weight After Pregnancy?

A family member of mine is having a hard time losing weight after pregnancy, how did you go about doing so?

    <-- I gained 68 lbs. with him and lost 73!
    Breast feeding burns up to 500 calories a day!
    I walked.
    Drank LOTS of water.
    Ate fruits and veggies.
    Gave up soda and sugary drinks.
    I ate lean meat; fish, chicken and turkey.
    I gave up white bread and white rice; I ate wheat bread and brown rice (anything 'white' turns back to sugar.)
    I walked some more.
    I put my son in his stroller and walked 30 - 60 minutes per day.

    I got really hungry after i gave birth, because i was breastfeeding and going for 2km walks 3 times a week. If i ate healthy stuff, i’d have lost loads of weight, but i kept snacking.
    If it’s still close to the birth, tell her cardio works, then slowly get into things like yoga or pilates before she tries anything else. She doesn’t want to tire herself out too early.
    I found that windsor pilates dvd’s helped me, because having my newborn and trying to get him into a routine meant that i couldn’t leave the house too often, and i didn’t want anyone else looking after him while he was really little.

    breastfeeding did it for me!
