Does Breastfeeding Help You Lose The Pregnancy Weight Faster Then Not Breastfeeding.?
My daughter is about 8 weeks old and I have been breast feeding I know that the weight comes off at a slow rate so it is healthy but I have been stuck at 130 to 132 for like 3 weeks..Does it come off after you stop or is there something that I am doing wrong??????
Yes it burns more calories, but you also have to eat more calories to keep your milk flowing. It shrinks your uterus faster so you won’t have that still pregnant look as long after pregnancy. I didn’t nurse and I lost all the weight about 5 months after, but I counted calories and exercised every night. It wasn’t easy but if it’s something you want to do for yourself then it’s worth it. It will come off, she’s only 8 weeks give yourself time. I have a website to help support moms in weight loss and you sound like it would really help you.http://mymommybody.com/
Don’t make the descision to nurse or not to based on weight loss, you’ll regret it later
you’re probably eating too much. frequently, breastfeeding mothers get slammed with an outrageous appetite, particularly if weebubs is on the boob 24/7. breastfeeding burns about 500cal a day. if you eat as much as you’re burning, however, you won’t lose weight (QED). add a brisk evening walk to your day and the weight loss will resume as long as you’re not adding to your diet.
and yes, after weaning, it’s common to immediately drop 5 to 10lbs because your body is releasing the stores it’s been holding for you and baby in case of emergency.
i lost quite a bit though still need to lose more lol. by four months i had lost about 10kgs but after xmas all went downhill hehe. just make sure u eat healthy for bout ur babies sake n ur own. def dnt diet whilst breastfeeding.
u burn an extra 500calories a day but u wont see a diff if ur munchin on chocs n stuff all day like i am lol. i stopped breastfeedin (just feedin him at night) n belive it or not im noticing my tummy growin again lol.
when she feeds ur muscles are contracting. i lost the mummy tummy though now just left with a chocie tummy hehe
it burns 500 more calories a day that would make you burn more fat if you don’t add to your diet how ever if your like me while nursing i always seem hungry so i have actually put on a few pounds
You loose 500 calories a day breast feeding so you might want to look at what you’re eating.
Yes It is a slow process My son is 8 months old and I still need to lose 10 lbs.
